THE ENVIRONMENT
EDF Fenice is constantly committed to identifying and mitigating the environmental impact of its plants and, more generally, of its business activities. Preservation of the environment is one of the key values of the business culture of the EDF Parent Company which, in accordance with this undertaking, has decided to adopt an environment management system linked to its own offer of services at all Group companies.
In accordance with these directives, EDF Fenice undertakes to promote sustainable growth, not only in accordance with current corporate regulations, but also identifying and mitigating the environmental impact of its activities.
ISO 14001 certification
The UNI EN ISO 14001:2004 standard specifies the requirements of an Environment Management System which include drafting of an environment policy, identification of significant environmental issues tied to business activities and achievement of specific improvement targets.
State of the art
In 2005, EDF Fenice was included in the ISO 14001 certification perimeter of the EDF Group; the most of company’s operating sites in Italy and also its branches in Poland and Spain are certified.
