Energy saving
Activity directed towards reducing energy consumption.
Environmental analysis
Initial analysis of environment-related problems, impacts and the results of an organisation’s activities at a site.
Environmental audit
Systematic, documented auditing process to understand and assess, according to objective evidence, whether an organisation’s environmental management system complies with the criteria defined by the organization itself for the environmental management system audit and for reporting the findings of the process to the management (UNI EN ISO 14001)
Environmental capability
The characteristic of a project whereby it can be implemented and exist without causing negative impacts on the conditions of the environment.
Environmental dismission
Operation to be carried out in accordance with regulations on disposal in the case of termination of the production activity of a plant or of an industrial area.
Environmental report
Accounting instrument able to provide an overall view of the direct interrelations between business and the natural environment by measuring quantitative and qualitative physical values relating to the environmental impact of production activities and also the financial commitment sustained by the company to protect against such impact.
Environmental statement
Statement made by an organisation in accordance with the provisions of EC Regulation 761/2001.
