GLOSSARY - H
High voltage (HV)
This category comprises all the systems with a nominal voltage of more than 1000 Vac and 1500 Vdc (CEI EN 50110-1). This term is usually used to indicate 130KV or higher electricity transmission and distribution networks.
Hydraulic energy (renewable sources)
Energy deriving from the potential and kinetic energy of water.
Hydro-electric power station
A "hydroelectric power station" is a station in which the potential energy of water is transformed into electric energy. A single station can consist of one or more hydroelectric units.
