EDF Fenice Italy
EDF Fenice was set up in Italy in the mid Nineties as a company specialised in the management of clean-energy activities specifically dedicated to industry.
Its origin within the Fiat Group and consequent acquisition of design and managerial expertise - in addition to assets for the production and distribution of energy vectors and for the main environment-related activities tied to industrial processes – and its entrance in December 2001 in the EDF Group - have earned EDF Fenice a position as leading industrial company in this sector in Italy, with a complete range of production process ancillary services addressing the entire industrial market and, today, also local authorities.
Its network of plants represents a highly specialist service offer:
- More than 50 operating units, with about 1100 employees, serving leading industrial groups - (Fiat Group, Barilla, Whirlpool, Alstom, Avio, ITT, Lamberti, ETEX Group, etc.) in the automotive, aeronautic, railway, chemical, agro-food sectors - that provide energy vectors and environmental services
- Cogeneration facilities with an installed power of about 600 MWe
- 1 hydro-electric power station
- 1 energy-from-waste system authorised to treat 65,000 tons/year of industrial and solid urban waste
Its environmental consulting activities are carried out at two analysis laboratories at Rivoli (To) and Pomigliano d'Arco (Naples) with more than 100 technicians and researchers.
From complementary environments and cultures, in just a few years, EDF Fenice has become an integrated industrial stakeholder active all over Italy, with the support of specialists with acknowledged competence, professional expertise and experience in specific energy and environmental sectors.
